Ft. The greatest philosophy joke ever made on television

I spent a lot of time mulling over how should I introduce the 'Philosophy' section of the blog - for it is a topic that is very close to my heart and also a topic that I know the least about. And then as I was re-watching The Good Place for the Nth time - an idea struck me. What if I spent the next year keeping The Good Place as a reference point and learn about the philosophy that is sprinkled in there, expertly. So, that is exactly what I shall be doing. I will be writing 11 posts over the next year, taking topics mentioned in the show - so it will be like I am one of Chidi's students, learning about moral philosophy and ethics to become a better person to save my soul from eternal damnation. If you haven't seen the show, I would highly recommend it. Nonetheless I will be providing sufficient context for you to not feel left out. If you have seen the show, I can understand your excitement right now. I am quite excited too.

Now, we have spent an entire, seemingly unending, paragraph on the introduction, but we have not come remotely close to talking about the title of the post. Worry not, I have no motivation to click-bait the 11 of you that read my posts (Thank you for reading, I appreciate you!). This past week, I got introduced to the world of AI driven copywriting and blogpost writing - and after the initial existential dread of this entire exercise seeming moot - and it blew me away. This is the epitome of computer code being the wingman of human effort.

The AI powered solution that I was introduced to was Scalenut. On further research, I realised that there quite a few players in this space but I stayed with exploring Scalenut further. And it did not disappoint. Now, I am going to give up the reign of this blogpost to the fantastic AI that powers Scalenut, and the next words you'll read (Except for my interjection every now and then to give context) are written by the AI powered content generator provided by Scalenut.

What is philosophy? Aristotle, one of the most famous philosophers in history, defined it as "a search for wisdom." This might not be the most concise or straightforward answer, but it provides a good starting point for thinking about what philosophy is and what it can do. In this article, we'll explore some of the main themes that are often explored by philosophers, and see how they can be of use in our lives.

Do you love watching TV shows that make you question your every day beliefs? If so, then you're in for a treat! In this blog post (read - section), we're going to be discussing the philosophy of the show "The Good Place," and how it can help you learn more about the way the world works. We'll be discussing topics like morality, the afterlife, and the meaning of life, and how these concepts can be applied to your everyday life. So be sure to read on if you're looking for some new thinking about the way the world works!

If you're looking for a learning philosophy that's both introspective and entertaining, look no further than the hit TV show, "The Good Place." This series follows Eleanor Shellstrop, a woman who has been wrongfully killed (Close enough) and sent to the "good place" after she committed no crimes. In this utopia, Eleanor learns that ethical philosophy is a key part of her survival. This learning philosophy can be applied to many aspects of life, and can help you not only understand the world around you, but also navigate through difficult situations.

In conclusion, in this blogpost, we explored if we can learn philosophy from something created primarily for entertainment – namely, The Good Place. By watching this show, we could potentially explore different ethical theories and learn about the nature of morality. While we don't think that learning philosophy from a show like The Good Place is a completely valid way to do so, it's an interesting thought nonetheless! Do you have any thoughts on learning philosophy in this way? Let us know in the comments below!

A thought provoking question:

Are there any rules in life that we should follow if we want to live a good life or are those just platitudes from movies and TV shows like The Good Place?

I'll be the first to hold my hand up and say that there are infinitely better things that such technology can be used for, instead of writing an introductory blogpost. But hey, I had a lot of fun writing this, or rather watching this being written with minimal prompts, I hope you did too.
